Eligibility for Admission

Candidates seeking admission into the B.Pharmacy programme should satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by the competent authorities for the respective academic year.

Generally, candidates should have completed 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent examination with the prescribed science subjects and should qualify through the applicable admission/counselling process.

Admissions under the Convener and Management categories shall be made according to the rules and regulations issued by the concerned authorities from time to time.


B.Pharmacy Curriculum

The B.Pharmacy curriculum provides students with knowledge covering different areas of pharmaceutical sciences.

Human Anatomy & Physiology

Students study the structure and functions of the human body and understand various physiological systems that are important for studying the action and use of medicines.

Pharmaceutical Analysis

This area deals with qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical substances and formulations using conventional and modern analytical techniques.

Pharmaceutics

Pharmaceutics focuses on the formulation, preparation, manufacturing, evaluation, packaging and storage of various pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Students study the chemical structure, synthesis, properties, identification and analysis of medicinal and pharmaceutical compounds.

Pharmacology

Pharmacology deals with the study of drugs and their actions on biological systems, including mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, adverse effects and toxicity.

Pharmacognosy

Pharmacognosy involves the study of medicines obtained from natural sources such as plants, animals, marine organisms and microorganisms.

Pharmaceutical Microbiology

Students learn about microorganisms relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterilization, contamination control, antibiotics and microbiological testing.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry provides knowledge of biochemical processes occurring in living organisms and their importance in health, disease and drug therapy.

Industrial Pharmacy

Industrial Pharmacy introduces students to large-scale manufacturing, production, quality assurance, validation, packaging and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical products.

Pharmacy Practice

This subject develops knowledge and skills related to appropriate use of medicines, patient counselling, drug information, prescription handling and healthcare services.

Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence

Students are introduced to important pharmaceutical laws, regulations, professional ethics and legal requirements related to the manufacture, distribution and sale of medicines.

Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics

This area deals with drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination and helps students understand relationships between dosage forms and therapeutic response.

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology

Students learn the principles and pharmaceutical applications of biotechnology, including biological products, vaccines, recombinant technology and modern therapeutic approaches.
